New here and looking for some insite possibly someone has run into this same situation. My 18 r/t with the 5.7 is having a no crank no start out of the blue. I went to the store yesterday and lt started up fine let it run while inside and went home and parked it. 30 min later I went to leave again and it won't even crank. I push the button and it goes to accessory then push it again it goes to run but no crank or click or anything. Remote start won't work ethier and I tested the battery and it's saying it's good. Any ideas? Possibly starter? 64k miles seems low for bad starter to me.

How old is the battery because if it's older then 3 years do not trust it regardless of what you dvom stays.it becomes highly suspect regardless of measuring voltage across the terminals.

Any check engine lights?

A good battery is essential, have you put jumper cables on it to see if it will crank?

If battery is good, then check codes for cam or crank sensors.

If you think it’s the starter, a lite tap with a hammer sometimes works to disengage the armatures but that is a not a true test, just a possible quick fix.

Post some pics of your DD.

I am going to check for codes tomorrow once I get my scan tool from work.i am going to check into a new battery aswell since this ones original and I did try to tap the starter a couple times with no change. What's weird is a few weeks ago the FCW and service stability control lights came on randomly aswell. 🤔

If you are on the oem battery, it's 6 years old. I'd replace it based upon age alone, unless you like being stranded.
The battery might be your issue. Low hanging fruit is always ruled out first.

The false random electronic issues are evidence of a bad battery. Just replace it.

Little update..I replaced the battery and no change at all. I managed to pull codes from it and found a bunch of implausible data codes for multiple systems and BCM codes. I will be calling the dealer in the morning and hopefully my extended warranty I bought covers it.🤞 I will post back if anything changes

Hopefully you got the MVP MaxCare plan. If so, you should be in good shape.
Keep us posted please.

Update: dealer called me today and said they found that the ABS module had internally failed and cause all these issues and part is a week away. Extended warranty was a joke and said Pound rocks...$850 all said and done.

Your update is appreciated. Glad that you got a resolution, and hope that it's really fixed.
What company was the extended warranty through?

Dealers push the 3rd party junk because they make more up front, and when the warranty rubes deny the claim, you get to pay the time/material rate, and not the rate that Dodge would pay them which is less.
A proverbial win-win for them.

You may be able to cancel said warranty and get a refund. Sounds like something to look into.

It was a 3rd party warranty (smart autocare) since i bought the car used. I bought with only 30k on it and Figured I would rather be safe then sorry lol and it ended up being pointless. I will be making a trip to the used dealer I bought it from and canceling this warranty maybe they'll give a refund? Hopefully

One would hope so. Depending on how long it's been active, they may pro rate it. In any case, you can still pick up an MVP used vehicle policy should you care to. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Update: picked up the durango last night all is good so far. Apparently the abs module is a known problem on the rams but not so much the DD. Tech did say there was signs of water intrusion in the connector and that the seal was not installed properly. 🤔 I'm just glad to have it back I've missed it lol

Check the recalls page-- there is a recall for the Durango Frequency Module which causes random no start no crank issues-- they talk about it here:
. Take all Durangos back to authorized dealers and it should be free under the recall.

Welcome to DDN. Did you by chance read the thread before posting? The issue was remedied in post# 14 by replacing the ABS module.
