I just recently changed the water pump and now have a new water leak. If I climb underneath the passenger side I can see it dripping close to the firewall. It looks like it's dripping from behind a small paper-type heat shield on to the exhaust. It's definitely not the AC (it smells like anti-freeze) and I really don't think it's the head gasket. If it's the heater core would it not leak inside the cabin? The carpet is dry. I'm kind of confused about this one. Anyone have any suggestions? TIA.

Sounds like a core to me, sounds like its leaking from where the normal ac condensate come from

The heater core is buried in a box to collect the condesation from the AC core. It'll leak out the ac condesate hole. Big job coming up,

If it's a core? I'd STRONGLY suggest getting a new blower motor, AC Evap AND the heater core and have them ALL changed at the same time. Also, get STOCKER parts whereas aftermarket parts don't quite fit ike they should there.

My install was about $500 and done the same day at a local shop. Part were about another $600 from the stealer.
