My 2013 Durango Citadel has 3 quick beeps that is different than the chime when it opens and closes. Currently the power open and close is not functioning, just the three quick beeps. I can hear the unit try to open/ shut. It can be opened and shut manually. I checked the fuse and it is in good condition and the battery to the vehicle is in good shape. Any ideas of what may be causing the fault?

Try replacing the strut on the right side. It may be weak making the hatch too heavy for the motor to lift it.

That strut is okay. I'm pretty sure the issue is with the lift-gate motor(as it's called by Mopar). I removed the lift-gate motor and with it still connected to the wire harness pressed the lift gate button. The lift-gate motor retracted an inch or so and stopped. I have a new one on order.

Mine just started doing the same thing. Did you figure out what the issue was?
Hi bruker,
We certainly understand why this may be concerning. We kindly recommend having your dealer inspect this concern for you as they are in the best position to assist.

I have a 2011 dodge Durango crew and out of the blue the lift gate started opening all the way randomly by itself even when the truck is locked in replaced the strut with a used one from a salvage yard and now when I try to close it it just beeps and does nothing

The powered strut would have nothing to do with it. You might have put a worse one in it.

Your original may not have been bad. It's controlled by a module, you know.

The module might only need to have a re-learn done. Here is a thread about it.

Did anyone ever figure out what's the issue I can not get mine to open or close just quick beeps followed by slight movement like its trying to re learn or something and im lost trying to figure it

You probably have a failed lift strut. If it actually opened then it might break it off so maybe it's good that it won't open and you can have it fixed.
