Recently installed Continental CrossContact LX25 on my Citadel.
Stock size 265/50/20.
What makes this tire a bit different from other tires in this size is the additional absorption layer of probably foam which helps provide additional comfort over bumps in the road.
I can tell you it works and works well. The tires are super quiet and you don't feel small bumps or irregular road surfaces anywhere where you can in a tire that does not have this type of additional absorption layer in its construction.
Last tire I had built like this was a Goodyear Assurance Comfort Tread. It was built very much the same with an additional layer to help absorb bumps and quiet the ride.

So if you value a smooth/quiet ride I highly recommend this tire. It's the only one in our size I could find that has this type of additional noise reduction construction.
Has a 70K mileage warranty...and I can tell you does very well in heavy rain too.

Thanks for that, @Chase300! We know a guy who speaks highly of these, but part of what he does involves some marketing for Continental, so it is good to hear positive comments from an impartial buyer. I'll have to keep them in mind when I need new tires for my ride.

I just put a set of LX25s on my '14 GC that is mostly driven by the ms these days.
She says it is like a whole new vehicle, and she's not one to notice much about how a car drives.
(prior tires were Michelin Defenders)

I use the Continental CrossContact LX25 with its additional absorption layer appears. Reduced road noise and improved comfort over bumps, which can significantly enhance the driving experience.

The inclusion of noise-reduction technology, like an absorption layer, can make a substantial difference in the cabin's quietness, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable ride.

It's great to hear that the additional absorption layer makes a noticeable difference in comfort and noise reduction. For those who prioritize a smooth and quiet ride, this information is valuable. The 70K mileage warranty and good performance in heavy rain are also positive aspects to consider.
