The unexpected revival of the Dodge Durango SRT HELLCAT in 2023 left automotive enthusiasts both excited and bewildered. Those who had missed out on the opportunity to acquire the potent three-row SUV with its 710 horsepower were elated. At the same time, original buyers who had paid a premium for the limited number of 2021 production units felt disappointed. Nevertheless, in recent days, various automotive pricing websites have confirmed that the Durango SRT HELLCAT is set to return for the 2024 model year.

The SRT HELLCAT Plus package encompasses a range of appealing features, including Laguna leather seats, the Trailer-Tow Group, a Power Sunroof, and an array of Adaptive and Advanced Safety functionalities. For those seeking an even more opulent experience, the SRT HELLCAT Premium package builds upon the Plus offering, introducing elements such as striking Red Seatbelts, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, elegant carbon fiber interior accents, and an immersive 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

The performance credentials of the Dodge Durango SRT HELLCAT remain as impressive as ever, with solid numbers to validate its prowess on the road. The HELLCAT variant boasts the capability to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in a swift 3.5 seconds, achieving a certified quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.5 seconds by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) standards and achieving a remarkable top speed of 180 mph.

As more information continues to surface, we anticipate providing you with additional details about the 2024 Dodge Durango. This recent insight has been made possible by the inadvertent release of the 2024 Durango’s pricing guide through various automotive pricing websites. Stay tuned for further updates as they become available.

Now that's settled, I'm moving on to more questions:

Will the 2024 Durango SRT Hellcat be able to be factory ordered? How about the SRT 392?

Because the Base Hellcat was "late availability" in 2023, do we expect it to show up at some point?

How long is the 2024 model year? If it is short, maybe no time to factory order or make base Hellcats.

What colors are available?

Crazy times.

Yeah, I'd hardly consider a pricing guide on a 3rd party website as confirmation of anything. The DDHC very well may carry over into 2024 MY, but I'd be surprised if there weren't a bigger price increase. I'm sure they have plenty of extra "last call" badges to charge a few grand for.

Also, for '23 MY SRT and HC, they do currently qualify for Affiliate Pricing (1% below invoice). But you'd have to take delivery by end of the year, assuming it's not extended for 2024. And find a dealer willing to accept affiliate.

Durango Hellcat into 2024 has been known for awhile and I assume it will continue until they build the last WD Durango. We just don't know when that will be just yet. I am guessing 2024 might be a shorter production year for the Durango so they can retool for the next model. Just today Stellantis announced the "Last Call" 2024 RAM TRX with the 6.2L, the TRX won't die per se, but they won't be building any with the 6.2L SC Hellcat in them after 12/31/2023. Starting price for the "Last Call" TRX has increased to $117,625. Per the article above the price increases for the 2024 DDHC are $2,000 over current 2023 pricing but we will see.

@mrd00dman I am not sure what you mean by factory ordered. I would expect Dodge to kill off the Base Trim as the article mentions and continue to force folks to choose Plus or Premium Trims for 2024 with minimal options (Black Package, choice of Dual Mopar Stripes, 3-Season Tires, etc). No reason for them to allow custom ordering or to add options when they are trying to purge any and all WD generation Durango parts.

Just guessing what will happen.

Apparently dealers were just shipped TRXs in various pre-determined configurations. So that is what I mean is not factory ordered by a customer. But if we count the 2023 that were cloned to 2024, then those might indeed have some customer factory orders.

Just my preference. I prefer to individually spec my vehicle and wait for it to be built. I generally don't want to call all over and find one on the lot/in transit/being built that is close but not 100%.

Now it looks like Durangos will have a long healthy 2024, so probably there would be customer factory orders for Hellcats at some point.

I also learned a lot over the last year, that the dealer has to have an allocation, the order has to not have any restricted items, and has to be accepted for build. Dealers can "place orders" for a customer that will never be built because they don't have allocation, or contain trims or options on temporary or permanent restriction, or they simply just aren't accepted. And they can get accepted and then unaccepted, back and forth, until the clock runs out. At least that is how it seems as I have come to understand it.

A turbo 6 and e motors can easily surpass the current HC power
The HO Hurricane in my Grand Wagoneer amazes me every day. It's the real deal and will be very potent on the street in a platform that does not weigh 6800lbs

My lease is due in April 2024. So I either need to order a new 2024, keep the one I have, or sell it for profit and do something else. My dealer guy is aware, and just changed dealerships, so he's looking to move me as a customer as well as make a sale at the new place. He hasn't gotten any information yet about a 2024 Durango. I assume he'll let me know as soon as he hears anything.

MotorTrend seems pretty confident the Durango will continue into 2024, with te only real difference being the Citadel will get the Tow and Go option.

2024 Dodge Durango: What’s New

After the return of the gobsmacking Durango SRT Hellcat for 2023, the three-row Dodge SUV carries over into 2024 mostly unchanged. The Citadel trim level receives Dodge's Tow N Go package, which outfits the Durango with the equipment necessary to bring its maximum towing rating up to 8,700 pounds. Buyers who want to make the most out of their Durango purchase will want to equip this package, as it also adds a slew of performance upgrades including Brembo high-performance brakes, adaptive suspension, a limited-slip differential, and performance exhaust. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on all 2024 Durango models. Finally, SUVs outfitted with the Trailer Tow group now receive blind-spot monitoring that takes the trailer's length into consideration.
I thought JNAP was closing down at the end of the calendar year though?
