We got a 2018 Durango gt for a week now it has 88,000 ish miles ran good, sounded great…. Well now I try to start it everything powers up you can hear the fuel pump but when I start it nothing except a check engine light.
Now I scan it and I’m getting 25 codes
Every cylinder misfire, mass air, there’s a lot
If anyone has any ideas on what I’m dealing with or how to diagnose this please let me know

Try replacing the battery if it's original. At the very least you can disconnect the neg cable and hold your brake pedal for about 30 seconds. Reconnect and drive it to relearn all the modules.

There are 2 batteries.
Have both of them tested, and replace if they come back less than 100%

Did you have the 2nd battery tested also? If one of them is bad, it can hamper the good one. It's also possible that your newer starter may have died. Do you hear any sort of click, or grunt that would indicate that the starter is receiving power when you push the button?

Ok on the 2nd battery. For now, I would pull the starter and have it tested. If it comes back bad, you have solved your dilemma. If it comes back good, you have ruled it out as the issue.

Riddle me this while you are in there.
If you have not yet, check the starter connections before you remove them. Wouldn't be the first time a starter was replaced, without properly tightening the connections. If one of them isn't, that would explain the no start as well as the sudden onset of the issue.

Hi Durango Dad,

We recommend scheduling an appointment with your local authorized dealership for a diagnosis and mentioning Star Case S1908000083. It appears to align with concerns similar to what you're experiencing. A qualified technician would be in the best position to review the details of this Star Case and specifics of your Durango. From there, they would be able to determine if there are any underlying concerns and can perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms. After scheduling, should you need an additional layer of assistance during that process, feel free to send us a private message.
