What size tire gets installed at the factory on a R/T with Tow & Go and the Blacktop package?

Both list a 20" x 10" wheel ('Lights Out' vs 'Hyper Black'), but the Tow & Go lists 295x45 tire while the Blacktop lists a 265x50 tire. When using the online configurator, it always changes the tire to 265x50 when selecting the Blacktop package even if the TnG is also selected.

That said, I've been looking through pictures of TnG models, and it seems like the 295x45 tires are retained when Blacktop is selected, but I'd like to be sure.

We placed an order for a TnG yesterday, without the Blacktop because I want the 295 tires .... but would prefer the Blacktop 'Lights Out' wheels. I'm wondering if I should change it up before it's too late.

So I think I found the answer here ... I grabbed a VIN of a 2023 R/T with both the Blacktop and the TnG packages and looked up the Window Sticker to confirm:

And then looked up the build sheet for this vehicle to see what tires were listed:

So it looks like you get the Blacktop wheels (20"x10" Lights Out) along with the TnG tire (295x45) which means the online configurator is wrong ... no big surprise LOL!

When you add only the Blacktop package, here is what you get (20" x 8" 'Black Noise' rims with 265/50 tires):

What I was questioning was the fact it puts 265/50 tires back into the config even with the 10" wide rims. So I went and checked a few VIN's which have both packages, and looked up the build sheets on them. The 295/45 tire was indeed used ... so this is a mistake on the configurator.

If you manually select the 295 tires, the system removes the blacktop package automatically and switches it back to the Hyper Black rims.

Sidenote, not sure if you installed Brembos on your previous D, but they are awesome.
I did not install the Brembos on our previous 2016 R/T, but am looking forward to the driving experience of the Tow & Go with them! :)

I believe all R/T TNG & SRT get 295 and R/T RWD get 265. Not sure what the V6 SXT or GT come with?

But Dodge is a little screwy so I would check before buying.

If you’re asking me, NO I have a several modified Mustangs and a boosted Audi.

Now my brother has an 04’ GTO Blk/Blk 6-speed. He bought brand new off the showroom floor and still has it. Great car!

Ha, thought so. I’m SkiPopeye36 over on the LS1GTO forum.
Ahh, nice! I do recognize that username. We've been in a few conversations over the years! Small world :)

You'll love the Durango. It's the perfect platform for us muscle car guys. When we sold the 2016 Durango R/T we moved into a top of the line Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve with the Hemi ... but it's just not doing it. After only a month of ownership, we decided to trade it back in on a 2023 Durango R/T TnG, so we ordered one a couple of days ago. Just a waiting game now ...

Thanks for explaining this, makes much more sense now. I have the 20 x 8 so I guess I am looking for wider rims soon.
