Hi, I am new to the forum so thanks in advance. I have a 2003 Dodge Durango 4x4 with a 4.7 liter engine. The check engine light came on so I scanned it and the trouble code I got was P0038, bank 1 sensor 2 high. I tried to google the location of the sensor, but didn't get anything useful back. All of the images I saw were of exhaust systems that have a pre-cat on each side and then the main cat after where the 2 sides join and run rearward. My truck does not have pre-cats and there are no sensors from what I can tell (bank 1 sensor 1) between the engine and the main cat. I do have a sensor just behind the main cat; is this bank 1 sensor 2? Thank you.

Sensor 1 is upstream (controls fueling and usually threaded directly to the exhaust manifold) of the cat and sensor 2 is downstream (provides info to monitor cat efficiency and on newer models is used for COT Cat Over Temp protection). Bank 1 is the same side as cylinder 1 (the cylinder which protrudes toward the front of the engine the most) and bank 2, cylinder 2. On a 4.7L I believe cylinder 1 is on the driver's side. So that said then the downstream, driver's side O2 sensor is what the code is saying is problematic.
