As many of you know, 3G end of life for your Sprint connected vehicle is 3/31/22 and the FCA/Stellantis plan of attack is the T-Mobile OBD-II port adapter. Knowing that the RA4 will still have connectivity until the end of March, I've refrained from taking the time to install the adapter until roughly two weeks ago.* After doing so, one night last week after driving the vehicle I get a "Vehicle Malfunction Indicator Light Alert" email telling me that my vehicle has a triggered powertrain alert and that I have 714,632 miles on my '15 R/T. Having just arrived home and with no recollection of any indicator lights on on the dash, I took a minute and went out to the vehicle and checked for any codes. No codes confirmed, pending or permanent in the system, no lights on, and of course, the odometer had not added an extra 643,169 miles while I wasn't looking... I log in to mopar.com and the mileage issue is there as well, though oddly enough the MIL was missing, still no explanation for why that was the case.

I get on the phone with Uconn Access the next day and the best they could do was to reset my account on the back end as an attempt to resolve the issue. Logging in to my account online was then showing mileage/data from October last year, but that only lasted so long before it was overtaken again with 700,000 plus miles and emailing me about another bogus MIL.

So, who else has had this issue pop up, and if so, were you able to determine the true underlying cause and find a resolution? I have been in contact with one other forum member who is also experiencing the same situation. I should be able to get some feedback from an "engineer" later today. My off the cuff guess is that there is a firmware issue with the T-Mo Adapter that is incorrectly reporting mileage a decimal off and somehow also generating bogus MILs.

*Installed it to try using it as the data source for my Escort MAXcam 360c instead of my phone.

Sorry man but Mopar and Uconnect SUCK beyond belief. Their support people know less than owners of the systems and forget about them fixing things in any respectable period of time.
It took me 4 months to get Uconnect/Mopar issues fixed and that was almost daily badgering of Mopar/Uconnect. Sadly things are still broken with my health report as well as my wife's Jeeps health report. Sad thing is, I just got an email from Mopar saying your service is due for renewal (vehicle is almost a year old) and they was $20/mo for the ability to have incorrect health report info, buggy UC5 system and the ability to remote start my truck from the mobile app.

I hope you can get them to fix the issue for you and can only wish you good luck!

Yep, I started getting the alerts last month and now I get a VHR every time I drive my Durango.

My initial VHR email showed 300K miles when I really had 30K, and zero tire pressure on all four tires. The emails eventually started showing the correct mileage.

My app shows that a have a dualie Durango with flat inner rear tires.

Also noting that send and go for the navigation no longer works though other remote functions through the app do.

I don’t have these problems with my 2021 Charger, but it’s 4G based.

And while I no longer have 700,000 miles on my bogus alerts, now I only have 7,000 miles...

Hey DodgeCares - any insight on a resolution for the bogus emails/data inaccuracy? This has gone on long enough...

Just a quick update, it's now August and Stellantis hasn't fixed the bogus MIL alert issue. I received email responses from Customer Care on 3/29 claiming a resolution would arrive in April - as-if. I reached out to U-Conn/Stell two weeks ago, and as usual, nobody knows anything, they've never heard of the issue, and my previous case is closed.

Thank you for contacting Mopar customer assistance.

We are aware of the vehicle health report generating Malfunction indicator light alerts as it is a known issue that is currently being worked on. There is a tentative ETA for a fix for the end of April for these alerts that are being sent out.

Should you require additional assistance with your online account, please contact us back by chat or email.

Sincerely,
Steve

Did anyone ever find a fix for this problem? I've been plagued by all kinds of ghost problems related to the adapter. I was getting powertrain errors as noted above, brought in for service and they were nice enough to appologize and not charge me for the visit. When I use the app to unlock doors or remote start the adaptive cruise control freaks out and stops working, have to unplug/plug the adapter back in after stop/start the car. I called uconnect service today and their suggestion was to update the radio software from 18.11 to 18.45. Went online to download the USB update, they told me no OTA, and the instructions don't include 18.11 as a version that can be updated by the USB download. Called uconnect again to ask about the instructions and if 18.45 was right, they told me the website is broken and to bring it to the dealer to have the software update. The original rep also told me that the other truck modules may need to be updated to make the adapter work as well. So I'm paying how much $$$ for this feature that causes nothing but headache? Really unfortunate as we would like remote access but this is not worth it.

My advice is stop using the app and use your fob.

Well that's a buzzkill! Unfortunately, the same conclusion I reached after reading other message boards for the same problem with no solution. I wonder if the 4G adapter works in anyones vehicle.... I called support today for fun and was told to do a radio upgrade and have all the truck module versions checked as well by the dealer. My guess is that the plug's ODB interface (protocol implementation) is at fault. Perhaps some module patches address issues created by bad interface implementations like this.... For me, the "juice is not worth the squeeze" and the module is getting pulled.

I've been attempting to get a resolution for this/these issues since February last year ('22) but it's been made completely clear that nobody at Stellantis and/or T-Mobile has any interest or ability to ever resolve the issue. If you are having any/all of these issues (most specifically the bogus MIL) with the 4G adapter, please post a reponse and/or send me a PM, I'm taking a close look at escalating this to a point that will indeed finally get a true response from Stellantis/T-Mo to finally fix and resolve this issue.

Did Dodge ever update Uconnect to work with the T-Mobile adapter? I know when I had it in my wife's 2015 Jeep it did absolutely NOTHING so I figured it was a money grab by keeping you as a Uconnect customer.

Other than Send-N-Go, most everything else works with the T-Mobile adapter. Can still lock/unlock doors, start the engine, find it on the map in the app, GF uses it to connect her cell phone when we're driving. I miss Send-N-Go, though, I used that all the time.

Hello. I'm glad I Googled "TMobile 4g adapter problems" so I could find help with mine. I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 5.7L and randomly I have been getting the Error message pop up "ACC/FCW Unavailable Needs Service" or something along those lines. Anyway, it was random and it had been doing it awhile. Since I had an extended full warranty on the car, I knew I could schedule an appointment anytime, but I kept putting it off and just dealt with the randomness. Finally, I took it in, and the Jeep dealership replaced the entire adaptive cruise control system including the main front radar/sonar/sensor in front bumper. All under my extended warranty. They gave me no hassles. Car had no issues for about a month and then the same messages started popping up again. So, back to the dealership I go. When I went to pick up my car again the next day, the service manager explained they had rechecked all fittings and electrical connections etc... He was very cool about it and so was I. As he walked me out to my car and as I was getting in, he asked me what the thing was that I had plugged into my OBD port because obviously they had used the port. So, I told him what it was. He said, "Hey can you try driving a about a month without using it, so we can be sure it's not something related?" So, I didn't use the 4G adapter an entire month and never had any issues or messages pop up. Adaptive Cruise Control worked like a charm during about 3 trips of 800 plus miles of travel to visit my 3 adult kids and grandchildren on both sides of my state of residence.. So, I decide to finally plug adapter back in and sure enough, about 4 days later I started having problems again. Unplug it for 2 weeks and never had any issues again. Plugged in again after the two weeks and about a day later same problems return.

Any conclusions, remedies, or fixes yet?

Um, get rid of the 4g adapter?

The only creature comfort of this sort I use is the remote start from my keyfob. And you?

Since I sometimes have to park long distances away (too far for "fob" signal, too many buildings etc.) I like being able to use the Uconnect app on my phone for whatever remote command I feel the need or desire. i.e. I walk away with an arm load of groceries or whatever and then try to remember if I locked the car :ROFLMAO:. Without having to walk all the way back to find a good spot to use the fob, I just use the 'Lock" command on the app from inside my apartment.

There ya go 🍻

Hmm. I don't do anything with my car unless it is visible to me. I definitely don't remote start or unlock doors unless I can see it first. But, first world problems, right?
