I bought my 2018 Dodge Durango preowned with a little over 20,000 miles on it. Certified with extended warranties.
Shortly after purchasing, 4 months the screen showed a bubble of delaminating and was getting too hot to touch at times. I started a dodge cares claim after diagnosis and they denied that they should cover it. YES it was hot enough to burn my finger, but not their problem.
Cost to repair at that time was over 1,000$, and we just purchased the vehicle so I waited it out.
The screen stopped getting so hot, but the delaminating got worse. I just dealt with it since dodge cares was terrible and I knew they were denying this being a manufacturer defect! currently it’s about 50% delaminated, which the cosmetic issue isnt my problem. The delaminating has caused my CarPlay to hit random buttons, tried to call 911, calls random people on my contacts, changes heat settings, etc. i can’t just drive with the screen off, I have to power it off because it turns itself immediately back on!!! This is terrible. The Dodge people from dealership and warranty dept say this is a known issue and they don’t understand why dodge doesn’t stand behind this problem in their vehicles! My Durango is now terrible to drive. CarPlay has to be off at all times unless I want to pay over 1,000$ for their manufacturing error!!
any thoughts or help appreciated on navigating this!

I'd keep pestering Dodge about it. There was someone on one of the Facebook pages that I saw yesterday, where they bought a used radio on ebay for $300 and swapped the screen over to their existing unit. Apparently there are youtube videos showing how to do it. Just a thought.

Somebody here on the forum recently reported replacing the display itself with a third party part. Not free, but way cheaper, and reported to actually work. Try some keyword searches and I'm sure you'll find it.

Ctaps:
Did you happen to purchase any warranty extensions beyond what the CPO program provides? If so, is the radio excluded from that coverage?
