Leaky Rack and Pinion

So in the process of replacing a leaky oil pan I noticed some weeping from the bottom of the rack and pinion set where the column goes into the rack. It looks like a cleanout at the bottom and the seal appears to have failed. Is there a way to replace this seal without replacing the whole rack? Does anyone have a part number ???

Thanks

What year/model/engine Durango are you working with? I've always heard that a leaking rack is to be replaced. Your leak sounds unusual though. The more common leak point seems to be the seals on the ends where the inner tie rods attach.

It sounds like you have the hydraulic/electric hybrid steering which was used in between the full hydraulic of yore and the current full electric. You may or may not have serviceable parts on it.

Welcome to DDN.
As far as I'm aware, if the rack is truly leaking, the remedy is a new one. If the leak is from a line, the pump, or a seal on said pump, you can likely just replace that.
