Ok, I promise I tried searching the forum first, as well as google, before posting another question! But I didn't find anything.

What kind of black is the 2022 diamond black? Is it plain gloss black? pearl? metallic?

I found a used 2022 RT with all of the options that I wanted. I had increased my search radius on autotrader and found this one far away. I can't go look at it first. It was only owned for 2 months, so I am playing with the idea of taking a chance on this one, purchasing remotely and having it shipped. (I know, I know, that is crazy talk). There is just nothing showing up lately in my searches for a 2021/22 used RT with the specs that I am wanting. Mostly all base model, or red interior (do not want), or the wrong options added. I've tried not having my heart set on a specific color, but definitely really wanted to find white or grey. I've had a black car for the last 9 years and just swore I would never do it again. (looks awful in winter with the salt off the roads, tough to keep clean, etc). But this is nearly new and an exact match otherwise, besides it being black, so I am considering. I usually just see "black" as the color description, so I was thrown by the color name, diamond black and was not sure if that implied it might be a little different effect to it.

Thank you for the input! Really appreciate everyone's help here.

Owned a lot of black cars when I lived up north, they are a real PITA to keep clean as every speck of dirt shows.

Here in FL the sun just bakes them, you can grill steaks on the hood after it sits in the sun for an hour & the interior turns into an oven. Then if it rains (a daily occurrence in FL summers) the rain hits that hot paint & combines with any dust/dirt present and it's a mega waterspot fest

In FL black makes a great show or weekend/fair weather car but bites as a DD.

It's metallic on my '16 so I would presume it still is. Yes, more visible and flashy in sunlight.
