I have a 2018 durango gt with the 8.4 screen. A bubble started under the left corner and now spread across the entire screen. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work. I am out of warranty. I see that many people have had this same issue. Has anyone been able to get dodge to cover it seeing it is a common problem?

Nope. It's a known issue with the '18s. Only if you have a Maxcare warranty might you be able to get a dealer to replace it. And that would be a long maybe.

How about that! A dealer actually responds properly.

August, delamination started causing ghost touches on the touch screen, jumping all around. Contacted Uconnect on their web site. They covered the entire cost of replacement, $860. My 2018 Durango is 4yrs 10 months old, 60000 miles. No warranty. The only possible issue for some is I had to pay the dealer up front, then sent copies of the receipts (pictures from my iPhone). Took about 10 days for them to process and send me a check. I was even able to update the 2016 map data and include that in the total cost (an extra $160). I told them that I had bought a map update last year (actually did, still had receipt), so I wanted to update the 2016 map in the radio. Cost was $575 radio, $160 map update, $89 install, $34 sales tax. I installed the map update myself after the radio was replaced.

The only issue for others might be the SiriusXM. I can transfer my lifetime for $35, others may have to handle this themselves. Ideally, Uconnect should handle this too, but for me not really a problem. The radio came preactivated, probably the Dodge 1 year trial. Six weeks, still working, haven't transferred it to my SiriusXM account yet.
My Uconnect contact was very polite. No arguing, shouting or any problem with them.

I just called Uconnect and it seems like they are going to take care of it. Said I need to get diagnosed at a dealership and call them back. I have the extended warranty with $100 deductible but if I don’t have to pay anything obviously that’s my choice! Thanks for posting!

One update to my post #10
My Sirius lifetime subscription was moved to the new radio at about the 2 month mark without me having to do anything. Went out one day, realized that something had changed, checked the Sirius web site, and the new radio was now listed and old one was gone.
Still worried what will happen in 4 more years when the new radio starts delaminating again.

I replaced mine with the WonVon (version 2). took about 20-mins and works perfect. actually brighter and clearer than the oem.
