August, delamination started causing ghost touches on the touch screen, jumping all around. Contacted Uconnect on their web site. They covered the entire cost of replacement, $860. My 2018 Durango is 4yrs 10 months old, 60000 miles. No warranty. The only possible issue for some is I had to pay the dealer up front, then sent copies of the receipts (pictures from my iPhone). Took about 10 days for them to process and send me a check. I was even able to update the 2016 map data and include that in the total cost (an extra $160). I told them that I had bought a map update last year (actually did, still had receipt), so I wanted to update the 2016 map in the radio. Cost was $575 radio, $160 map update, $89 install, $34 sales tax. I installed the map update myself after the radio was replaced.
The only issue for others might be the SiriusXM. I can transfer my lifetime for $35, others may have to handle this themselves. Ideally, Uconnect should handle this too, but for me not really a problem. The radio came preactivated, probably the Dodge 1 year trial. Six weeks, still working, haven't transferred it to my SiriusXM account yet.
My Uconnect contact was very polite. No arguing, shouting or any problem with them.
