I was just wondering as I’ve seen most have the hard button at the bottom of the climate controls but I’ve noticed being in some of them they don’t have it. Do all RT durangos not come with it?
I thought something similar but I’ve seen 16-17 without some of the physical buttons I just wasn’t sure if it was somewhere in the uconnect on some or not.I don't think it was standard until 2016. My 15 does not have it.
It’s just weird to me I’ve been searching to buy one and some of them don’t have the physical sport button which was surprising to meI have a standard R/T (2021) and it has the sport mode button.
Brilliant! Just a quick survey on CarMax (lots of models from various years) shows the Sport button showing up on every 2016+ R/T, and doesn't appear at all before that.I don't think it was standard until 2016. My 15 does not have it.
Yeah you’re right. I looked more closely at the years I was looking at and realized that so I apologize to who said it above and I didn’t think it was right lol. What I read is what you said basically more responsive steering (tighter) pedal is more responsive with less effort and suspension adjusts itself as well.Brilliant! Edit: Question is, what does it DO? Opposite of ECON button? Throttle and shift point remapping I'd assume?

I don’t have a tow n go and I have the hard sport mode buttonI believe only Tow & Go R/T's have it.
Should also engage a sport traction control as well.SPORT MODE — IF EQUIPPED
Your vehicle is equipped with a SPORT Mode feature. The engine, transmission, and steering systems are all set to their SPORT settings. SPORT Mode will provide improved throttle response and modified transmission shift points for an enhanced driving experience, as well as greater amount of steering feel. This mode may be activated and deactivated by pushing the SPORT button on the instrument panel switch bank
I dont think any of them had it until the 8 speed became standard across the V8 and V6 lines . ..Pretty sure the V6's got them when they went to the 850RE transmission and the stop/start garbage which was 2016 . Not sure about the V8 . All Durangos whether V6 or V8 have it now .I was just wondering as I’ve seen most have the hard button at the bottom of the climate controls but I’ve noticed being in some of them they don’t have it. Yeah not a fan of the electric steering, hopefully it makes up for it by being reliable .Its because before 2016 the R/T had hydraulic steering not electric. When it switched to electric steering the sport button appeared as it can control the steering firmness...though it loses the feel you get with hydraulic steering.

The Econ mode is the default and shifts are made quickly to enhance gas mileage. ‘Sport Mode’ holds each gear longer and doesn’t care about gas mileage.
