I can get my phone to connect to Uconnect, but when I try to call someone or they call me I can hear them but they can't hear me. I have been trying to fix it bit I haven't been able to. It says its connected to my S21. I just got a 2015 Dodge Durango Citadel Saturday. I had a 2012 jeep grand cherokee with uconnect in it and never had any problems with it in that. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

There is a menu item in settings for doing a factory reset, but I would try just cycling power on the head unit first. Just hold down the volume/power knob until it cycles... usually 10-15 seconds will do it.

Defective or disconnected microphone?

I did that a few times. I was told by uconnect that I may need to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes then hook it back up.

HI, We know you purchased a really expensive vehicle from us and there is a problem with pairing your phone to our really expensive vehicle. Please find where your batter(ies) are and disconnect them for a few minutes and try again.

WHAT IS THAT ABOUT??????????? I can't believe the kiddies at Uconnect have authorization to tell a customer to do mechanical work on their vehicle to make Uconnect work. Or maybe there is no management suport at Uconnect and the kiddies run wild with saying whatever they want to get the frazzled customer off the phone.

Please just factory reset the radio. Disconnecting the battery will do nothing.

Come to think about it, I have had a few occasions where the phone was still using its own microphone instead of the Durango's. This was in spite of the phone being connected on Android Auto, displaying Waze, and playing Spotify just fine. I could hear my phone calls just fine, but since the phone was in my pocket, nobody could hear me. It only happened once in a while. But after a few times, I tried pulling my phone out and speaking directly into it. That seemed to work. That seems to have gone away now that I've updated a bunch of stuff on my phone. So I suspect your issue could actually be your phone as well.

Android Auto on these phones is notoriously buggy all by itself. I've had better luck with my Pixel 6 on Android 12 than I did with 11, and I'm newly on Android 13 with my Pixel 6. Things have gotten better with Uconnect with each OS update. I've recently made sure to get the latest Play Store updates which are strangely separate from the phone OS. I'd recommend getting your phone fully up to date.

Right now, I'm on 17.99 in the Durango, Android 13 with the September 2022 security patch, and the August Play system update. I'm waiting to get the September play system update right now. Once you have the phone OS and play system updated, a BUNCH of updates for all your apps will show up as well. Make sure to get all of those as well. My luck has been pretty good with this combination so far. Maybe it will help you too.
