Maybe I'm backwoods, but I always just stuck a long steel tube or rod into my exhaust if it wasn't completely straight and manually moved it that way. Never had any problems with that approach myself. I supposed if you manhandle it too much you could break a weld, but I never did.
Please tell me you are not a gastroenterologist....:eek:

All the dealer needed to do was heat the pipe and use a bar to bend it towards the center.
This shit is not rocket science but then again, does Dodge have any competent technicians working for them anymore?

If this is a jig problem with the exhaust builder, then they should be fired as well! This crap is sickening!
I hate the UAW and no offense to anyone who like the UAW as this is my perspective as to why QC sucks.

There’s just no excuse for a technician to leave it like this. None.

How anyone could swap the part and not bother confirming the issue was resolved by just looking at the damned thing is beyond comprehension.

Factory installation = FAIL
Dealership attempt to resolve = FAIL

I think this is simple. Dealerships are not exhaust shops. The entire system is always adjustable with piping/welding/cutting/hangers. They didn't even try, and I wouldn't have ever driven out of there with it like that....if it were me. That's just utterly ridiculous.

Same story on my '18 R/T. Only reason I drove it out was I had an appointment already lined up with an exhaust place to install the Bob's. Figured no point in getting my BP up over it, but I was still annoyed at their incompetence !

I would’ve left it if I could’ve.

Scheduling its return trip now for this, plus dead AC. That’s comical, too - I told them the compressor was groaning loudly. They said it sounded normal.

Whee.

Got mine “fixed” last week. Dealer replaced the muffler assembly that bolts to the larger section.

It’s now worse than before, with the muffler rubbing against the shield next to the spare.

Correction: They replaced the larger section (passenger side). Which certainly looks better than it did (still not centered, but better).

Driver’s side is original, and worse than it was. Which means both original pipes were mis-welded by the supplier.
