While watching different repair tasks on Youtube, I noticed that there are different configurations for the Pentastar 3.6L engine. Would anyone know what the 3.6 revision is called that is shown in the picture (throttle in front)? Thank you!

That does not look like the 3.6L under the hood of my '14 Durango. So if I had to guess that the above is the Gen 2 engine (with start-stop feature) found in the 2016 and newer Durangos. The attached is a picture of the Gen 1 3.6L in my 2014.

Thanks Don & Deacon. Good info and it led me to search for Pentastar gen 2 - and I ended up in the Wiki page. It calls gen 2 "Pentastar upgrade". This is making more sense since my OBD2 labeled the option I have as "3.6L Upgrade (WD)". Here's a link to the Wiki page: Chrysler Pentastar engine - Wikipedia Thanks again - much appreciated.
