ok another issue with the 2011 hemi , i have a po303 3rd cylinder misfire .tried swapping coil and injector but misfire still stays on 3rd. spark plugs are good. does anyone have another idea . hoping its something besides motor.

Is the plug good? Did you replace #3 plug when you did the coil pack?
Did you use a Mopar coil pack or aftermarket like frm pep boys or autozone?
Did you check the coil pack electrical connector to make sure wires going into it are not worn or broken.

No tht I didn’t do. I thought they looked good. Can they still be bad
Yes, plugs can fail internally, but it's very rare. It's not looking good at this point. I would perform a compression test (at least, on #3), and check for spark. Ground the base of the plug while it's out, and ask a helper to watch for the arc of the plug.
If present, it's probably time to pull the valve cover and look for broken valve springs, bad rocker bearing, or cam lobe wear at cyl #3.

Thanks for the info . Pulling the valve cover and fixing spring maybe above my knowledge or skill. Lol

You're not alone there, because it is for most of us. With me, it's my health. I've been waste-deep inside many engines in the past. And I'd still be able to handle the plugs and compression test...... But I'm physically unable to go beyond that anymore, and would have to "contract that task out" myself.. So I know where you're coming from there. Unfortunately, it's looking like your 'fix' is pointing toward that general wheelhouse.
I hope you're able to find a good 'wrench' and get her back in prime relatively cheaply and soon.

How did the dealer come up with a multiple of his hourly rate for diagnosis when not diagnosing it yet? A good dealer would simply tell you the hourly rate. With your specific complaints and what you have done so far, your dealer should figure it out in an hour.

Why replace a head if a valve spring is broken? Change the spring/retainers and seal.
Compression test is the first thing they would do hopefully.

Well dropped the D off last night at dealer. Just got the call …. Quoting me 5,000+$$ to fix a failed lifter and bad cam , fluids and seals … just wow . Well guess I’ll let it rust in driveway 😳

Take it and run, as long as you have answered every question they ask so they don't reject the purchase.

The days of over priced trade-ins is over. Carvan's programmers updated their programming a few months ago.
So people who were getting 50k for a 2020 RT will now get in the high 30s which is more the norm.
Sad thing is, new cars are still being overpriced by dealers.
