they are discontinued
Most of the heater parts are discontinued as you indicated. Doing some research it appears some other sources might stock them like this one:

What material are the McMaster-Carr O-Rings made of? Need to make sure the material is compatible with the coolant. Viton would be good I'd think as it's commonly used in automotive applications and survives Oil and Gas.
