I am already aware that the Aux battery is due to be replaced.
When the Stop/Start does work, I noticed the battery volts will drop down to 11 when I am in Stop mode for longer than 2 minutes.
I was wondering if anyone replaced the AUX14 battery with a compatible size and everything worked ok?
The same battery is used in a handful of BMW, Benz and Freightliner applications. This could be why they are so pricey.
I can get a motorcycle/ATV battery of the same rating for about half the price. Would that work ok?

As long as it physically fits, is ACTUALLY the same specs, and is the right voltage it shouldn’t matter. However if I had the start/stop feature I’d lean more towards 12v lithium technology for both the primary and secondary batteries.
