So the front suspension on my 05 5.7 dd is pretty well shot I know I need new control arm/ball joints and sway bar end links I'm fairly sure my tie rods are bad and I'm currently sitting at around 190k miles. I've seen some rebuild kits and though I've looked I'm not sure where to confirm if it has the 15mm inner tie rods.

While I'd love to avoid these cheap kits I honestly cannot afford to buy individual parts to cover everything atm and I probably have a few more pricy issues to tackle and I figured barring a catastrophic failure I could change out the I individual parts of the front end piece by piece down the road.

To recap and back to the main point how can I confirm 15mm 24mm tie rods on my dodge durango.

Well I'm pretty I have the 16mm outside tie rod ends because the 15mm won't quite fit. In hindsight I guess I could probably just pulled a measurement with a clamp or look up exactly where to measure from.

I had read somewhere I guy asking one of those mechanic answer sites and he his measurements weren't quite right and he was having trouble so I assumed I would too.

On the bright side I did manage to get upper control arm lower ball joint and sway bar end link changed. Could not for the life of me get the hub assembly off amd finally just removed steering knuckle with it attached.

Good luck on your journey with this. There hasn't been too many folks doing indepth rebuilds on Gen 2 front suspensions here. The oem pieces seem to wear pretty well for the most part, from what I have seen. My '04 just crossed 125K within the last month. Other than shocks and the front sway bar end links, it's original as far as I know.

What did you end up using? I'm looking at doing a full rebuild of the front-end of my 05 2WD and the parts pricing is so extreme from low to high that I have no clue what to get. 200k miles and the rubber is all shot although I'm tempted to just align it until spring and do the rebuild after the rain stops.
