This is an interesting read about the JGCL.

Software update seems to be immediately available if you got to the dealer or you wait a few weeks for OTA update.
Amazing, we have waited almost a year (2020 November) for an update on our Durango SUVs but nothing yet.

If you read the November 2020 TSB about our 10'1 UC systems concerning multiple profiles, S2008000190 Dodge Technical Service Bulletin
it clearly states, This feature is Not available on early built vehicles!

What does that mean? I'm now concerned early vehicles actually means early UC5 units. If that is true, early UC5 units could have been installed very late into 2021. If that is true, there are a lot of people who will never get an update. This seems to make sense especially with all the failed projected dates of an upgrade. I am starting to believe there is a hardware issue that is preventing the udpate from being rolled out. Looks like Mopar can't figure out how to program around the hardware defect or deficiency.

December will never come. (sounds like a song in the making)

Given the date, I read that as them acknowledging the feature isn’t there on the version of UConnect that shipped with early production vehicles and the replacement hardware available at the time, so don’t replace anything. An OTA update would sort it out in 2021.

Let’s say I’m not optimistic at this point. Good thing the rest of the truck is so great.

I would never had read that TSB the way I did today but because there is no firmware update for almost a year, it is making sense there is larger problem.

I test drove a 2021 GCL last weekend and I noticed the back up camera is not showing the projection lines similar to my Durango, the salesman told me it must be turned off some where in the settings but I could not find any choice to turn it on/off.
It could be one of the back up camera issues as well.

I am pretty sureyou can turn the lines off as I remember seeing that option. However, was it in 2021 Durango, 2021 JGC or my 2015 mopar vehicles? I will check on my way to work today.

Recently my UC has been going black and restarting.. making me wonder if they were trying to push an update that didn't work.

I was driving cross country and my screen went black, then it reloaded something and restarted. It remembered my route! I thought maybe it was reloading a new area of map coverage. I would love to be able to make the street name font larger. I think the map view at night is horrible.

Hi everyone,

If you're experiencing concerns that you'd like us to look into, don't hesitate to let us know! Just send us a private message with your VIN, additional details/documentation, and a photo of your Uconnect system information.

Thanks in advance,

Courtney
