The short version is that the DDHC qualifies for the affiliate rewards program preferred price, which 1% under invoice. I used it on my DDHC with $95kish msrp and it came out to a $4800 discount. which is obviously great on a vehicle that so many dealers are marking up.

I'm not actually associated with any company that does business with FCA, but there is a workaround for that. You can go online and join a group called Tread Lightly, membership costs $100/yr, and after 30 days you qualify for the affiliate discount. You just log into your account at the FCA site with the TL company code that they provide you with and it will give you a control number that you can use on your purchase.

One thing to note ... I have a great relationship with my dealership and they look after me, so they had no issue with me using this discount. I don't know how much FCA kicks back to them so I'm sure the dealership isn't out the full discount amount but I'm also pretty sure they're not getting fully reimbursed so they will be out some profit. I was chatting with the GSM today and he told me that this is in fact at the dealer's discretion and they could have rejected it if they wanted to. If this is true then there's no guarantee that just because you qualify that you will get it, especially if you're dealing with an ADM dealer.

Anyhoot, I was really surprised that FCA didn't exclude the DDHC from the list like other of their top vehicles, including the TRX I got earlier this year, but it worked for me and saved me almost $5k. 🤷‍♂️

Great info it would be worth giving it a shot. I like things like this so i can remember and search for such ideas when I'm in the market. Ive Learned that with Ford if you hold on to 100 shares of there stock you get to have a pin once a year to buy a vehicle at a similar discount.

Thanks ... I hope the info ends up saving real cash money for some of the peeps in here.

More similar to this, you can join the Mustang Club of America to qualify for the Ford discount...
