Hello everyone,
Please see pics. The front bumper got a gap From the fender on the driver side. (No accident or hitting anything). Dealer tried to fix it but now the gap still exist and there is miss alignment. Bumper is lower about 2mm. Passenger side is all aligned.
Dealer said that bumper needs to be replaced under warranty. He has started the process to order parts etc.
Do you guys think it’s worth replacing the bumper or should I just ignore this gap and keep driving?

Thank you.

If it's warranty and no cost to you why not?

I would replace it. On my wifes last MINI Hardtop, the rear bumper was misaligned and had to be replaced. New one was perfect. Any good bodyshop should be able to hit the color spot on. If it bothers you, it always will until it gets fixed.

I agree with letting them replace it.

My 2nd Durango had a misaligned bumper in the exact same spot and looked just like yours, but it was on the passenger side. I just lived with it on that one. This does seem to be a common issue on some, so I now look at the bumpers more when browsing a new vehicle.

I had my passenger side mirror replaced shortly after I bought our current Durango because it didn't tilt in reverse. Anyway, the new mirror came painted from the factory and is an exact match to the rest of the paint. If it doesn't already come painted from the factory, which a bumper may not, as mjreiland said a good body shop can match it perfectly.

I have the same issue on the driver side on my 2020 RT. I recently took it to the dealership to fix it. Unfortunately, it only lasted a week and popped back out. So time to take it back to be looked at again....

Update
I just picked up the ride from the dealership. They acknowledged the issue was with the bumper side bracket that holds the corner in place. The rep at the dealership’s body shop shared that the tech had to pull down the top end of the bumper, install the bracket and then re install everything. He said that when he pressed in the bumper onto the new bracket he felt the bumper engage with the bracket. That felt different than the first patch work they did. I will update on this again if something happens.... I hope you got yours fixed....
