Can't help, but years ago I heard a story (true or not, don't know) of a guy who bought a new Chevrolet and had a similar issue. Pulling out from a stop, he'd hear something rolling and a clang; coming to a stop, heard it again.
Dealer could replicate the noise, and worked on the car for quite a while. Finally they just started taking it apart. Found a glass soda bottle between the body and frame. Had been left there during assembly. It would roll back and forth, depending on which direction the car was moving.

To open the tub, slide the drive seat all the way forward, you'll see a piece of carpet that covers the tub. gently pry it up until the clips release.

Thanks for the tips, but locating and opening that cover is not the issue. Was able to do that and looked inside the plastic tub. It’s empty. The sound driving me mad is more metal on metal. Willing to bet is a bolt or screw of sorts. And my guess is it went in thru a slit that’s close to the outer railing of the drivers seat and between that plastic tub. I’m leaning towards perhaps removing the seat and pulling up the carpet to locate the mounting points for this tub and see if that will do it.

3 days after taking delivery of my new 2014 Durango RT I began hearing what sounded like a marble rolling around under the floor. The sound was emanating on the drivers side near the door, and it would roll around constantly. 3+ days in the shop and many calls to Dodge the dealer (although not the dealer I purchased from) located "a small screw" of unknown origin "came loose".

One month later and I now am experiencing a similar issue except this time it is emanating from under the center armrest/storage area. It is intermittent, so if it falls in a particular craves it will remain quiet until it pops out. I took it to the dealer (the dealer I purchased from) and they were unable to replicate the issue. They were aware that the issue had been documented by Dodge and there is a record which they can pull up using my vin.

I was told by the Service Manager that they did not want to "lift up the carpet and perform exploratory surgery". I have contacted Dodge and have another appointment scheduled for next week at a different dealership.

Question #1:
Has anyone experience or heard of this issue?

Question #2:
Any suggestions on resolving this issue?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
I have this on my 2015 DD. Took apart the door--nothing. Comes and goes. Drives me crazy.
