Yeah i didnt know this about dodge but holy shit everything is a add on wtf??? blind spot monitoring and front detection is a $495 add on lol you get so much more for your money with chevy ! if you just got a 2021 durango gt v6 awd with no add ons it would be like a basic suv i mean it would have nothing !!! i just bought the 2021 gt durango awd v6 the suv was 51k and it doesnt even come with blind spot monitoring or tow hitch or auto tilt steering or front cooling seats i mean jeez give me a break for $51,000 i had the 2018 chevy traverse awd premier red line edition cost was $51,000 and it had everything i mean everything ! red stripe black rims(dodge dont have) , black badging , tow hitch , blind spot monitoring , front cruise control collison , 19/27 mpg 310 hp rear view mirror camera , 360 back up camera, cooling front seats i mean i'm sure theres more i'm forgetting but get the picture ? i mean dodge is cool nowadays but damn give us some more shit for what we paying for !

This is why you should buy used with all the options you want instead of paying retail for what you don't want.

Isn't the Traverse a FWD based platform? I'd have a hard time believing it has the tow rating of a Durango with the oem tow group. I get what you mean about options. It has always frustrated me that you can't get all the options a-la-cart. I am not a sun/moon roof guy, yet many manufacturers tie them in with leather, a bigger engine, etc.

the one i had was the awd premier with redline package , tow rating was at 5,000lbs i 'm never going to pull anything i just needed the hitch for bicycle rack or storage rack so i had to purchase one ....
Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch - 2021 Dodge Durango installed it myself PRETTY EASY . THIER PRICES KEEP GOING UP I GUESS DUE TO DEMAND I PURCHASED IT AT $215.00 SHIPPED TO MY HOUSE . FIT FLAWLESSLY ON MY 2021 DURANGO GT WITH 18" SPARE TIRE.

While I admit the base Durangos are pretty sparsely equipped, they are priced accordingly. As for towing, I'll say this: Bring your 5000 lb MAX towing Traverse over, and I'll drag it all over my neighborhood with my Durango. These are simply NOT comparable vehicles. LOL
I DONT NEED IT FOR TOWING just for bike rack and or storage rack

FCA notoriously nickeled and dimed. Many options are made ala cart.

Also keep in mind it’s usually more expensive to option up a lower trim level. If you were at $51k on a GT, the MSRP on AWD Citadel is $51k fully loaded (minus Hemi & DVD)
the citadel doesnt offer performance hood you need the performance hood to get that mean look on the durango!

I think its hilarious that you just explained in detail, how dumb you are. LOL!

The good thing is you don't have to pay MSRP for it so it ends up being an ok deal with the add ons if you search for it.

Idk man, comparing a Traverse to an R/T of anything Dodge shouldn’t really be considered the same category (IMO). And Im saying that simply because of the performance aspect. If you’re looking for performance SUVs WITH options, I think Durangos are the way to go. I think you got screwed with the dealership pricing. The price you spent for a GT is almost identical to what I spent on the ‘21 AWD RT with every option EXCEPT blindspot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.

Agreed with the a la carte, but even Ford and GM do the same thing with all the packages.........

personally I could do without all the luxury of my '21 RT napa, 2nd cap chairs, tech, class 4, loaded, its nice though don't get me wrong, I came from a 05 F350 dually Lariat which at its time was the height of loaded as well, but nothing like the rango.

If I had my way, my rango would be a RT, no la de da interior fashion, no tech, no blind spot, no auto braking, no lane departure, class 4, remove the rear seats and the best stereo.........I use mine for towing and throwing wood/metal/projects in the back, need the power to tow 5-8k weekly. But to order just that I'd be opting for a whole bunch of packages and waiting months for it to arrive, on top of that you get more discounts when you buy all the options and packages. I would have actually paid more for custom ordering a base stripped down towing vehicle than getting the loaded luxury RT.
