I own a 2014 Dodge Durango that started having a seatbelt Issue, I urge everyone to please have your seatbelts checked. Please look at the cracks beyond the broken area you see.
My D.D has never been in any type of accident and/or wreck.
If your seat belt started out retracting slow investigate it,

Pretty sure that's just a plastic cover. In an accident, without a metal frame that wouldn't hold anything in place, cracked or not. There's metal under the plastic, so those cracks are just cosmetic. Nothing to worry about.

The only concern I would have is if the cracks widen up or hunks of plastic fall off, then your belt could/would rub on the metal edge, accelerating its wear. Aside from that, you are fine for now.

I had the same issue on my 2014. Here's the thread:

Then please replace them.

When it’s cracked/broken it will not work anyway.
I am afraid it will create extra wear and tear and fray and or start cutting the seat belt.
If you're worried about it, replace it. As I said, it's purely cosmetic, so it won't cause any real issues.

Any tips on how to get the seatbelt to release. The belt is styck behind the headrest

How is it stuck behind the headrest? Front or back? On the front, moving the seat back and forth or tilting the seat back might help. But still, how did this happen?
