Hello All,

Last night driving home I heard a couple of popping sounds from the engine bay, and then I saw the dreaded coolant leak steam.

I was about 1 mile from the house so I finished the drive and then popped the hood. I could hear visible spray and and see steam from behind the engine.

This morning I can see coolant on the firewall and sitting on some of the hoses, but I can't clearly see any broken hoses.

Any ideas or tips from the hive mind?

Thanks.

Possibly one of the lines for the front or rear heater cores?

I ended up taking it to the dealer.

I had to stop half way there and let the engine cool and add half a gallon of water to the radiator. I never let it overheat, but a heat warning did pop up right before the first stop.
Radiator was completely cold. Everything was just being pumped out the back and not cycling through the system.

They told me a “Spider Hose” had broken, which directs coolant to the heater core, rear heat, and back into the the main path.
Part is $775, plus unknown labor.
I have an aftermarket warranty that should cover everything after my $100 deductible.

My coolant flush last month was now pointless as I’m getting another now.

They won’t get the part till at least Wednesday, and I’ll update when it is fixed.

Is this the part that's $775? They're bending you over without lube!!

Get the part number from them!

I don’t know. If warranty isn’t covering it, I’ll look into the part number.
