Mad as hell. My engine light came on on my 2017 gt. It has the engine start stop feature with the yellow A on my display. It has only 32850 miles on it. It runs good, i dont feel anything different while driving or at idle. Of course its difficult to come on here to get answers about a engine light on, but any feedback on it will be greatly appreciate it.

Hopefully is nothing serious bro. First time buying american, dont want to regret this purchase.
It wasn’t serious. I don’t know how much would have costed my mom, because it was fixed under warranty. A part did have to get replaced. I don’t think it’s anything big based on her experience.

Why would you be "mad as hell?" Your Durango is a mass produced product, and things can and do go wrong. If you are still within your 3/36 warranty period, get it to a dealer, and have them diagnose/repair it. You could also stop by a local Autozone or other car parts place, and have them pull (but not erase) the stored code(s).

The issue might be simple, or not. I can think of many more things in my life to be mad as hell about, and check engine light has never been on that list lol.

I understand what you saying, it just annoys me to see that light thei. I bought it pre own about 3 weeks ago. The truck only has the powetrain warranty as of now. But you know i am on of those that always expect the worst. I am taking it to a local mechanic tomorrow. Its cheaper than the dodge dealer.

As long as you don't have any visible leaks, or signs of overheating/other dash lights, I would get the codes, and report back here. You might have a very simple emissions related issue. If that is the case, you can drive it while we help you find the problem. Or, keep the appt with your local garage, and see what they find out.

The Durango is a dependable vehicle for the most part, but not immune to annoying issues like any other make/brand of vehicle.

PepBoys used to do free code clearing. Amber engine light is typically not critical. Something as simple as A loose gas cap can cause it. I changed a directional bulb to an LED and got one. A quick code lookup can tell you how serious it is.

I will report back tomorrow with the codes. Hopefully the engine light will be on when i take it in. So the mechanic can diagnose right. Thank you guys for the feedbacks/replys/suggestions.
