Was in the process of purchasing a 2014 Dodge Durango Limited. It had every feature minus the rear seat DVD/Blu Ray player that integrates with the Uconnect system. I dont have the CD/DVD/Blu Ray player in the center console nor the other items required. Ive seen whwre I can buy the parts to add the cd playerto my center console, but was wondering if I can add the factory oem system, opposed to installing an aftermarket system. One bennifit is it willwork with my Uconnect system and in theory, it should also play the same video through the main Uconnect screen on the dash, just like my 2015 dosge journey did. Cant find any support on this. Realy wanna know how to get the true oem system with the full functionality and inputs for rca and hdmi inputs like it shows on the actory location on the side of rhe feont seats, however willing to change the location of those imputs, juat dont want to get into a situation where I have to nearly replace the whole seat, however for rhe 3rd row, I may contemplate installing a aftermarket or other oem flip down, that runs off of the video out outputs. Please help. Cant dind much on this topic. Also dont wanna pay an arm and a leg and want to stay from aftermarket as much as possible. Trying to make a professional install. Roof real estate is limited from the sunroof, and dont care for the aftermarket headrest systems Ive seen. Wish to integrate it with my Uconnect so I can use the player as a cd dvd player on my main. I researched this before purchasing my 2018 and the general consensus that I got is that it would be overly expensive as you would have to have the seats with the built in screens and inputs, harnesses, headunit swap, and then update the BCM to show that everything was there. Also read some back and forth if you would lose certain features like sirius xm guardian support and other features but that was debatable. So I opted to spend the money and just find a durango with it from the factory and have the warranty. I am currently having issues with my connect headhunt and I would be pissed if I couldn't get anything replaced under warranty as it was not factory installed. Hope you get the solution you are after. I am not a fan of the flip down as when they are in use they block your ability to utilize your rearview mirror.
