I think we need clarification. Are you talking about changing the gear oil, or the entire differential? Your post is not very clear. Fresh gear oil at 75k makes good sense.

Sorry, I am a bit confused!! haha whatever Dodge recommends a 75k if you tow a fair amount thats what I was inquiring about changing

It sounds like you are asking about the oil in the differential. That makes more sense. You can DIY the gear oil easily. There should be an upper and lower access plug on the diff. You'll need a drain pan, 2-3 quarts of a good brand synthetic gear oil, and the associated tools. Is your Durango AWD? If so, I would also do the front diff while you are at it.
How heavy is the TT you are towing, and how often? If you tow heavy and frequent, I would do the trans fluid and filter as well.

Thanks for the info Dan Fox, And yes oil in differential yes AWD is there a additive Dodge recommend to add to the gear oil or no? my trailer is about 4500lbs loaded I do tow a fair amount.

I do plan on keeping the DD until it is dead 
I do have the maxcare lifetime warranty so not sure how that plays in if I don't do the differential and it fails will they cover that? same with trans once I get to the recommended change time do I have to do it to have the cover the repair work if it fails??

Re the warranty, as long as you follow the guidelines for maintenance in your owner's manual, you should be good. If you do the work yourself, keep the receipts in the event the dealer wants proof you did the service. Some dealers will use anything they can find to deny warranty coverage.

10-4 thanks, going to pick up DD now left side exhaust man bolts repair, they also had to order rear shock and sway bar & bushings so that is next.
