Electronic stability control and brake light both on! SOLVED

Hi y’all!
First post here! I have a 2013 SXT I just got and my electronic stability control and brake light are both on. Any ideas?

CCC:
Welcome to DDN. You may have a failing wheel speed sensor. You'll need a code reader that can pull ABS codes, to see what code(s) are stored.

Thanks for the welcome! I’m trying to get someone to pull the ABS codes for me but all the Dodge dealerships within a 50 mi radius are going to take 3-4 days to pull them and 3-4 days to fix it

I had the same situation on my '15 D. It turned out to be rodent damage to a wire bundle behind the brake booster. Cost over $700 to fix. Five hours time! I hope you have a better diagnosis.

Ouch! Sorry about that dude! I went to the stealership and was told it’s the brake fluid level sensor least that’s what I think it’s called. It’s on the paper they gave me. All I know is it’s $24 for the sensor. Got pretty lucky.

Chances are it’s a wheel speed sensor like others have said. You’re gonna have to get it onto a computer to pull the codes. Just save your wallet and don’t go to a stealership

it was $116 for part and labor. If my husband weren’t working long hours we would have saved us the labor charge. It was a brake fluid level sensor.

It's great to know you are back in business. Thanks for coming back and updating us. I believe yours is the 2nd or 3rd instance now a flaky/failed brake fluid level sensor. This will be something to add to the list of possible issues as the Gen 3 Durango platform continues to age.
