Is Hemi "rumble" too loud?

I have a 2015 Durango SXT V6, which I really like.
But I need towing ability and the V6, (despite what Dodge claims), doesn't cut it.
So I'm thinking of getting a new Durango with a V8.
After doing research, it appears if you want a V8 without a sunroof you have to get an RT.
My concern is engine noise.
I've heard the V8 has a "rumble".
My questions are :
1) How loud is the Hemi engine while driving?.
2) Are non-RT V8s, (such as some Citadels), quieter than the RT?...and if so does that mean you can switch out exhausts/pipes to quiet things down?.
I appreciate the sound of a powerful engine. It just may not be something I want to live with day-in day-out.
Thanks.

Stock, both the V8 Citadel and the R/T are nearly silent inside. Especially when you aren’t flooring it.

Welcome to DDN. Your post is refreshingly innocent lol! As many will tell you, the oem system are very tame, and should not be an issue. If you are thinking along the lines of that 60's or 70's car most of us had with glass packs, it won't be anything like that.

It will have just enough growl to remind you there are some guts under the hood under moderate to heavy acceleration.
What will you be towing?

I think the R/T exhaust is tuned slightly louder than the Citadel exhaust as it is the more sport oriented of the two, but as others have said it is not loud. In fact most Hemi Durango owners want it to be louder.
