Has anybody used black widow exhaust? The sound clips on their site sound good. Im just wondering if anybody has experience with them?

I'm thinking a resonator delete and widowmaker exhaust. Any suggestions?

Seems to be a cheaper option that sounds good without having to come out of pocket 1200 for borla

I'm very curious about exhaust options. I am coming from a scat pack widebody (long story) and I had a few charger scats before but those were easy, cut the mid mufflers and install bullets or vibrants, end of story... this durango I have coming seems a bit more complicated when it comes to exhaust....

I'm finding options are either cheap or mad expensive. My wife isn't letting me drop that kind of money for exhaust

so what's the "cheap" option, that's what I'm looking for as well. my challenger vibrants were $50 plus $100 to install and sounded great.. must be a similar option for the rango? can vibrants or bullets be put in place of that big mid muffler looking thing? i see big mufflers in the back to? looks like a lot of work LOL

I bought a Blastin Bob's resonator delete kit... Makes it significantly louder...ended up throwing Vibrant resonators on the Blastin Bobs pipes...sounds very good now.

I'll probably get the delete kit. I did see that. Also thought about deleting it and just making my own 2.5 tubes

I’m confused... what is blastin bob delete kit? And where did you install the vibrants? Does the mid muffler come out? So blastin bob replaces mid muffler and vibrants replace rear resonators?

No...mid muffler remains...they are actually very well designed and flow very well. I had to cut the Blastin Bob's pipes and add the Vibrant resonators. It definitely made it less loud and abrasive, but when you step on it, it sounds fantastic. I get a lot of compliments on it.

ok... been looking online all day lol... i see some do the opposite of what you did... just found some youtube people that removed the mid muffler and installed mini bullets, one guy added x pipe and removed rear resonators, one guy just did the swap of mid muffler to bullets and left the factory resonators out back...both sound amazing, but it seems you guys did the opposite, leaving the mid muffler and removing the rear resos?..... it's so hard to figure out... LOL... the scat pack was so much more simpler lol.... now I'm not sure what to do

or maybe better yet is to put the vibrants in place of the mid muffler... I had both on the scat and the vibrants were deeper and less raspy, but then the question remains, do you leave the rear reso's or remove them and is an x pipe also needed lol?

I think what I did was one step too many...if I were doing it all again, I'd get Blastin Bob's with magnaflow resonators and be done.

You mean in the rear and leave the mid muffler? This is what I’m trying to figure out but I’m thinking to put resonators in place of the mid muffler and leaving the back resonators lol... but I’m just guessing based on my past experiences with the 6.4

Leave the mid, cut out the stock resonators (they are really heavy) and get vibrants.... Or go Blastin Bob's with resonators already in place. Mine is mds delete, different rear, and some other stuff so I don't get the dreaded "drone". For monetary reasons, I'd just go blastin Bob's with magneflows. Good price, sounds great, cool looking tips.

Interesting and thank you. I’ve watched some videos of that setup and it although it’s hard to tell on video, not sure that was the best sounding ones I saw. Guess i need to research further because on the scat pack (6.4) you don’t want to remove the rear resonators otherwise you get drone so I thought it was the same idea here. I had 4 scat packs so I experimented a lot lol

I went with Blastin Bob’s, and the fitment wasn’t great. I’d like to swap to something else.

I think YouTube is pretty good if you have decent head phones (and at least 720p video bandwidth). Its not everything you need to know about the exhaust but its enough to determine if you like the general tone. Personally I think most systems all sound very similar on Mopar 5.7, 6.2, and 6.4 variants. Frankly it's not that pleasing of a tone to me. I think I've posted 17 times now about how much I love the Flowmaster Force II system, its a total outlier in terms of sound. Otherwise, just try to avoid interior drone with whatever you do.

When my wife drives away in the D I drop what I'm doing and listen...yesterday she left and then 10 minutes came back because she forgot something, leaving she gave it some pedal, good woman right there.

Which vibrants did you use? 1140 or 1790?
