There were a few Durangos in attendance in at Mopar Meet in the Mountains 2020 so I thought I'd post here in case anyone wants to attend in June 2021. Lots of cool Mopars. Lots of great people.

This is copied from the Meet in the Mountains Facebook page. Please note that I am not an organizer of this event ... Just passing along some information.

Meet in the Mountains - June 2021

Mopar Meet in the Mountains
June 11th -13th 2021

The Meet in the Mountains is a family event that is held in Pigeon Forge TN in June for MOPAR enthusiasts.

We have always referred to the Meet in the Mountains as a family reunion. We have a car show and other car-related events but that's not the main reason we continue to go each year. We enjoy getting together and hanging out with friends. It's also a chance to meet new people that share a passion for MOPARS.

There's a group hotel. And in the evenings, you'll find everyone hanging out in the parking lot. If you would rather stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other hotels and cabins in the area.

Activities Include:
Welcome Reception
Police Escorted Cruise through town
Optional Tail of the Dragon/Scenic Cruise through Mountains
Car/Truck Show/Autocross at Smokies Stadium

Show information
The first 100 vehicles will receive goody bags.
Car/truck show registration is $40 until May 1st. May 1st to June 6th is $45. After June 6th, registration will increase to $50. There is an additional fee for the autocross.

Please complete the registration form in the pinned post on the Facebook Group page and register to attend the event even if you do not plan to enter the show .

You can enter up to 2 vehicles. If you are bringing other vehicles, those drivers need to register. Please complete all of the fields

The registration money is used to pay for the stadium rental as well as to purchase trophies and goody bag items.

Could very well attend this one. Thanks for bringing it up.

About an 8.5 hour drive for me.

The guy that won the Autocross event last year (in a Sublime Green Challenger) made the trip from Arkansas --- as he did in 2018.

I have about the same drive from Florida.

Interesting. Thought it was more of just a Car show type event. If there are other events that makes it even better.

I typically drive almost 15 hours for an annual event that a guy hosts at his home in Raleigh, NC for LH/LX cars and anybody else. So an 8.5 hour drive is no problem!

I.m not on Facebook nor do I want to be. Is there another avenue for more info on this meet?

It's an event that was started - I think - about 10 years ago by a bunch of Challenger owners that hung out on the same forum. After a few years a number of them had moved from their Challenger to other Mopar products so it became a all Mopar event. This year there were Challengers, Chargers, Durangos, Jeeps, Magnums, 300s, Darts, Rams, and a couple of Classic Mopars. Mostly Challengers and Chargers ... but everything was fairly well represented.

By the way ... when I went to the page to grab this information I saw that a guy with a pretty sweet Grand Cherokee has already registered.

Here's the Registration information copied from the Facebook Page.

As long as they're Mopar owners they'll be welcome.

I'll probably take my '15 Challenger SRT again in 2021 just because it's so much fun on The Tail of the Dragon. :)

I saw meet in mountains... was very disappointed when it wasn't in the mountains... like ya know real mountain areas... like the Rocky Mountains where there are 14'ers which are real mountains and not large hills.

Also sadly this meet is a bit to far away... I woulda still came and brought photos of real mountains. lol

To be honest though I was born and raised on the Front Range of Northern Colorado and when I was stationed in Fort Gordan, GA I would always take the route that put me in your mini mountain range cause big or small they are so beautiful.

I never met a mountain range that I didn't like. Fact is that "our"mountains have simply been worn down over time. You see, the Appalachian Mountains are much, much older than the Rocky Mountains. Way before any of us were around, the Appalachians reached heights that rivaled the Rockies and the Alps.
