What's up guys...

Need a little help.

Have a stock 13 R/T AWD that we just picked up and the "LOW" light on the dashboard will randomly come on and start flashing. The light that should come on when put in 4 Low

It usually will not come on again if you turn the vehicle off and restart.

Has happened a few times over the past few weeks. Dealer seems to think the transfer case computer is bad.

Any advice or experience with this?

Thanks ahead of time!

could be a sensor/ switch. shift transfer-case in, then back out with decent pressure. maybe linkage/ cable is mis-adjusted?

Weird issues I would say its the Switch or the board
STEVE

They replaced the switch in mine so I guess it's not that. They won't even investigate because they say it doesn't produce a code and that I need to get it to the dealership while the light is on. It's so erratic that I'm not sure that's possible.

Blinked for 45 mins today on the ride home. WTF? I drove it for a 2 day take home test drive and didn't blink once, now that I own it it decides to go crazy. I got rid of my 2002 Ram 1500 for a similar reason and swore I would never go back. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Found a mechanic who said he knew exactly what it was. He "replaced transfer case position sensor" and "completed neutral calibration". Covered under my warranty but would've cost $130 for the part and 2 hours of labor. So far so good. Fingers crossed.

I have the same issue but have not found someone who can even understand what im saying to them. Are you able to tell me your mechanics name and location?

I had the Low light issue on my 2012 RT a couple years ago Just over 100k miles (I remember that because it was just over the power train warranty) It would go off it turned the switch to low and back to awd. I re-seated the relays in the fuse box, and swapped a couple of them around since they all have the same part number. (Don’t remember which ones, they were but were AWD/trans/transfer case related). I now have 155k on it, and the light hasn’t come on since; except when it is supposed to.

When the 4 low lightwould flash, did your rig make a clicking sound weather the engine was on or off?

Thanks for the reply dizzyD. I'll be taking it to the stealership this week and see what they have to say. It's still under warranty so hopefully it will not cost me an arm and 2 legs to get it repaired..
Mine does same they replaced the switch 2 days ago $500 still light flashes and can’t turn very well rt to stealership (love that name ) and apt in this case now told I need new case $4500 and parts are 2-3 day’s out if lucky ugh. I took it to them thinking PCM is faulty as all my issues point to that they said nope after charging $200 to run a diagnostic on it even the stalling issue can be a faulty programmed PCM too. Now I’m in limbo on this car

I just did the same thing on mine...…..replaced the transfer case range position sensor.

My question is, what is the "neutral calibration?" Maybe if I can figure out what this process is I can get the issues I am having sorted out.
