Every time I get me oil changed, the filter is always leaking. I eventually change it out and it’s fine but don’t know what else could be the issue. I’ve gone from Mopar filters and K&N filters. Anyone have any recommendations or even issues if their own?

Are you doing the work, or are you having it done somewhere? I have to wonder if the filter is not getting tightened up properly? If you are having it done somewhere, they need to be made aware of the issue, and correct it. Another possibility is that the old oil that gets spilled during the change process, is not being properly cleaned up.

I am having it done at a shop and I know it’s not the shop because I’ve tried other shops and the same issue happens. But I’m gonna end up going this weekend to get it changed out and see what’s going on.

So....you have a shop change the oil and the filter leaks. You replace the filter with a different one (different brand, different model?) and it stops?

Replacing an oil filter is not rocket surgery, nor is an oil change. If the first filter (or the gasket) truly leaks, and the second filter doesn't, then there is something wrong with the first filter or the way it is installed). It is one of those two things.

Or, as noted earlier, perhaps they are not cleaning up with spilled oil and it drips for a few days and stops. There is a plastic shield on the bottom of the durango SRT the will collect oil when the filter is changed, and if you don't stick a rag up there and wipe it up, it will seep/drip for a while.

I have done hundreds of oil changes and oil filter leaks are always either human error or defective parts.

Yeah there is a channel that is plastic that can hold some old oil if they don't cap the oils filter before wiggling it out. I'm sure you've seen it if you've changed your filter.

I had the same issue (or similar) and the dealer kept telling me it was residual oil on the ramp for oil changes... which I can understand cause it makes sense. But the pilot in me said that something was not right.

I bought some ramps and started checking... my filter was loose by about 1/2 a turn after about 2000km after a dealer oil change. I tightened it but while I was under there I cleaned it all up really well. Checked again after about 1000km and the filter was tight but I had oil dripping down again.

I took it to the dealer and said that I thought my oil heat exchanger had a leak, they checked it and replaced it. No issues since.

This is interesting, because I just took my DDSRT in for the very same thing. I had a small amount of oil on my garage floor and I could smell oil when I would pull into the garage. I put it up on ramps and took the picture below (bottom picture). You can see a drop of oil on the line next to the filter and on the bottom of the filter.
I took it into the Dealership and they changed the oil and filter (free oil changes) and gave me some line about the gasket must not have seated correctly.
I will be watching to see if the leak continues.

That is the exact puddle that I was getting. Warranty fix so...

Assuming you have at least the powertrain warranty still in force, it should be covered. Seals/gaskets, and it is a leak of oil or coolant.

Let us know how it goes.

Like you, I had an oil leak, Booky. Just not as much. Mine was about the size of a silver dollar, which is big enough. Took it to the dealer where one of the service representatives told me the oil filter was "defective." (His word, not mine) That rep claimed he had the same thing happen to his 2018 Charger SRT. This incident was between oil changes, too. It was replaced and since then, all good. (Knock on wood.)

May not apply to an SRT since I don't know if they use the same oil filter adapter as an R/T, but I had to have new o-rings installed on mine. Leak at first appeared to be from the filter.
