Current SRT Hydrolocked. Looking to buy either 2020 or 2021 model what should I do?

My current 2018 SRT, which I like, unfortunately, hydro locked in a bad storm and is likely kaput. Debating whether to order a 2020 SRT which would be factory ordered and take ~10 weeks... or wait for the order period to open up for the 2021 SRTs. My questions are...
1. What changes are they likely making to the 2021 SRTs (not trackhawks)
2. What month are the new durango models usually released? From past history what month usually become available?

How did your DDSRT hydrolock? Were you driving through deep water?

If you wait until Friday, Dodge is unveiling their 2021 lineup. Have no idea how much info they are going to give out, but we should at least get a good look of what is to come.

Also, late September to early October is when dealerships start seeing new models.

However, with the craziness this year expect everything to be pushed to a later release date.

Was driving through about 6-7" of water slow and car went by and just wave hit the front grill and spashed up and vehicle stalled. Fluke since a corvette behind me made it through no problem. Air filter was soaked so must have hit the perfect spot at the wrong time and sucked it right up.

Sounds like the type of experience I hope to never have. I assume you are going through your car insurance for the engine replacement? I bet the bill will be $12K or better.

Likely totalled since it's at the dealer and any electrical/motor issues in the future that can be linked to this incident they (the dealer) will have to repair for free according to insurance. Just waiting to see what they're gonna low ball value it at.

The cold air intake on the SRT is located in the left side lower grill and a large plastic tube brings the air up vertically, I would say at least 18". At that point there is NO airtight connection to the air cleaner box as one might expect, so the air is just deposited right there in proximity to the air inlet of the air cleaner box. I guess that with the ram effect of forward movement the water could make it inside the air filter box. At that point, the air cleaner element would be the only obstruction. Who would have thunk it?

Yah it was a fluke because ive driven through water deeper than that many times with the srt w/ no issue. Must of waved up and hit the perfect spot and gotten sucked up.
