I've been wanting to do this for a while but have not decided if I'm keeping my 2017 R/T or not. Pulling the 3rd row seats out is very easy, I've done a test run to take them out and they come out in like 10 minutes or less. There is like 4 bolts that hold them in and one electrical connector.
putting in the service floor cargo area should be an easy swap. If you pull this off please could you talk some pic's of the install before during and after. I will do the same IF I decide to keep it and do this. I never ever use the 3rd row to the point I probably should have got a Grand Cherokee.

Thanks for the info. Would definitely take pictures. I have the GC Hemi. Wanted something bigger but don't need the 3rd row seats. My wife thinks i'm nuts, brand new & i'm taking the seats out, but i saved $10k by buying off a lot instead of ordering without the 3rd row...so they will come out & cargo boxes will go in. Took me a while to find the "kit" once i confirm that it's tje right fit.. i will purchase.

Do a search, others here have done it & there are threads with a complete list of the parts needed & cost.

So i have begun the swap. I removed the 3rd row seats. Total 4 nuts 2 bolts & 1 connector. The 4 rear bolts were easy the front 2 are under a little plastic cover but the bolts were extremely difficult to remove; an air impact would have helped a lot... but removal was str8 forward. 4 nuts 2 bolts 1 connector & lift out. I will put up pictures once i'm done. Ordered the 4 pieces for the cargo boxes. Waiting on delivery now.. $616 with shipping.

$134 additional shipping? Yikes. Sometimes it makes more sense to order from your local dealer if they'll match the Online pricing. Even with local sales tax you're ahead.

I've found that for many items the online price is great but shipping is inflated. This is for relatively small, light items. The other issue with these Online dealers is their websites allow you to place and pay for orders on discontinued items but they don't notify you for days that the item(s) aren't available and never were. When you think you scored on that "Hard To Find" part they bust your bubble!

Update: i got the parts in the mail. My stepson helped me to install. So removing the seat is easy 4 nuts, 2 bolts, and disconnect 1 connection.. but really you should remove the rear storage cover. * it has to come out anyway. Just gently pry straight up under the "hinge" this gets the spring loaded flaps out of the way and makes removing seat much easier. Then remove the seat...So then comes installing the cargo box. On each side there is a tab with a preinstalled clip * mine was wrapped up with sticky foam* remove that and set into place. It goes where the "hinge" was and fits over the small hump in the floor. Look where those tabs are and then you can feel the holes under the carpet. You will have to cut the carpet to get the clips through... just about 1/2" square hole on each side. Then just set the cargo box back down and push the clips in. The covers just clip in after that. Reinstall the rear cargo cover.. now mine did not fit all the way back down but very close. I will check this again later but i honestly don't see a way to get it all the way back down.... but i will look. All in all is was an easy project after i found the clips under the sticky foam. I will post some photos sometime. But i can email them if someone request. So now my 2019 R/T is a "special service".
With 3x as much under floor storage space and no 3rd row seat. All i'm missing now is the extra HP that the "S" R/T has. But for $20k less i will be okay :)
