You know that annoying click where you squeeze the handle for the gas pump and when you get close to being done it clicks off?!

All that seems to be happening numerous times as soon as I try to squeeze the handle for full pressure sort of speak at three different gas stations now, three different pumps!

I've had the vehicle for a couple of months now and it's becoming very frustrating I literally have to squeeze the pump trigger about a quarter to half way in order to fill up the gas tank without the pump clicking off again.

I've tried everything I can think of including positioning the nozzle different ways not inserting it all the way any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

As I have never had this issue myself a lot of people on here have made this claim. I wonder what the dealer will say about this issue, sounds like a pressure issue. If you get yours fixed please post what they found, I'm very curious in the results.

On my 2014 Durango I've found it's pump specific. When it happens I lift up on the nozzle while pressing it down on the fill opening.

Same issue at many a station. One had an attendant and he turned the handle up to 12 O'clock and it fills like a charm.
The downside is that it doesn't stop when the tank is full!!

I had the same problem with mine just make sure the nozzle is all the way into the filler neck.

On our 2018 citadel it is pump specific. I have found some pumps that it kicks off and will not flow. I have stations here in town that I know it works fine at. I just go to those. I am the only one fills it up. I don’t trust my wife not to spill gas down the side of it, lol. Maybe I’m full of it, but it seems the pumps with the big rubber piece on the nozzle wont work. But the ones without that are ok.

I have this issue on my 2015 RT on about 95% of pumps in town. The solution I found about a month ago is: fully insert the nozzle with my right hand; peel back the rubber nozzle collar with my left fingers to "break the seal" and keep it there the whole time; then squeeze the pump handle with my right hand and see if I can manage to lock the handle at full power with just my right hand.

This solution probably undermines whatever environmental benefit the collar is designed to prevent, but it's been working flawlessly since I discovered it about a month ago.

Interesting. Thanks for the tip.
