I'm looking for a lift.

The options I've seen mentioned here are as follows:

1) Torsion/Shackle lift along with an Add-A-leaf in the rear
What's this lift, can someone please explain this one? Thanks.

2) Performance body lift
Does someone have a website for this one? Thanks.

3) Are there any 2.5 to 4 inch SUSPENSION lifts available that aren't cr*p?

Thank you for letting me post to your forum and I very much appreciate all help.

Thanks,
Keystone

I can't get too deep into the descriptions since I'm at work
but the T/S is as simple as it sounds, cheby lowering shackles and few washers for the rear and 8 full turns on the torsion bar that brings your ride height up 2" - Very dependable, cheap, some suggest ride feels harder, some don't, recomended alignment afterwards.
As for the 3" body lift eBay I found was the best deal for me compared to webs/shipping. If your handy with tools and have knowledge of cars/trucks its a 1 day'er.

Check out my album for pictures of what a D will look like with 3" body 2"torsion- There ones with stock tires 31"x10 then aftermarket 33"x12.50

Our Durango's are heavy, so in the aftermarket suspension world, you need to find something with beef. I'm imagining now, but I can see that a spindle/ control arm lifts are possible, you'd want to find something that also increases the front diff to match ride hieght.
But there are also the rekey'd torsion keys that can get an extra 1-2 inches.
the back end is pretty straight forward, either rearch the old leaf, get the belltech shackle, add a leaf or blocks. I don't like blocks, causes more rear wheel hop under acceleration.
I guess it all dependant on how high you want to ride!

Without re-locating the springs to the top of the rear axle blocks will do nothing other than to lower the D.
Rancho makes/or made a 3" lift kit for the Dak/Durango. How good it's? Haven't heard much about it, but it's the only quality name in the game that even considers the D a vehicle worthy of a lift kit.
If lots of money isn't a problem, consider a front axle swap with new rear leafs. That'll give you a much higher gain, if that's what you're really after.
Re-keying the torsion bars is available. One of our group was going to do it, but I must have missed his report on how it turned out.
Your mention of re-clocking the diff is quite common among the lift companies out there. It allows the diff to tolerate the lift, without dropping it lower itself. This is available for the chebbies frequently.
The one lift that seems to work with the least amount of work and the longest unbreakable longevity is the torsion/shackle lift. I have over 100k on on mine with absolutely no trouble from the lift at all. I don't baby my rig in any way, shape, or form when off road either. It's well worth the fifty bucks or so that you'll spend to do it.

X2 on the shackle lift. you can also add an Add A Leaf to the rear to give you about an inch on top of the shackle. it's what I have.

x3 on the Torsion Shackle lift Like Dwayne said add a leaf for a tad more and a bit more capacity back there.
For the record the Rancho Lift was discontinued due to drivetrain vibration problems
I got that right from them
