Like others have said, it sounds like you don't have the stock setup anymore. If you look underneath, the OEM exhaust will have two pipes going into a "suitcase" muffler in the middle near the rear doors area. From there it goes back to 2 pipes again to the rear resonators on each side, followed by the exhaust tips at the end.
Usually to make it louder, the big "suitcase" muffler will have been removed, and a pair of pipes or something similar will be there instead. Alternatively, the resonators at the rear, which look like mufflers but are not, could have been removed. What you'd be looking for in this case is from the muffler in the middle, follow it back and there wouldn't be anything else but 2 pipes leading to the tips.
Lastly, the previous owner could have installed an aftermarket exhaust, which would most definitely be louder than the stock exhaust system. Take some pictures if you can't figure out your setup, and maybe we can help you figure out what you may have going on under there. There are some options to quiet it down if it's just the muffler missing. For example I have deleted my "suitcase" and now have Dynomax Mini Race Bullet Mufflers in its place. In my case it was way to loud and raspy without some sort of mufflers, but its still louder than a stock setup with these installed.
Again as others have said, the stock OEM exhaust is not loud at all, even flooring it is relatively quiet compared to other V8's out there.
