Digging for input on a small issue -- I have this lone, little bird (think it's a finch) that has formed some sort of bond to my '17 SXT. No, I haven't seriously contemplated offing the little dude. After all, it eats LOTS bugs and I don't want to risk downrange results, or needing to patch a hole in my car. Seriously -- I know where it puts all those bugs it catches, too.. On my car.

I've never seen so much poop come out of something so tiny! (See pic)

But what do you think might discourage it? Fake snake maybe? If so, what is a good fake snake retailer?
Preferably, something harmless.

It's sits there all day;

I accidentally left the window open when I came in to get a beer and get rid of the last one --- less than 20 minutes!! THIS was the result (top of steering wheel);

I have had a similar problem with pigeons at my house. It is so bad that in the mornings it sounds like the sound track from an x-rated video. The darn things are smarter than the exterminators, also.

finch and the pigeons should be scared away by a bird of prey decoy. I used an owl to keep a redheaded woodpecker from trying to debug the exhaust pipe from my water heater every morning at 5am. Strapped an owl decoy on the thing and haven't had any issues since. Maybe put one on top of your car or a log next to your car? Works with rabbits too... for a while.

The decoy only works for a while, even the ones in which the heads move. Once they figure out its not coming for them, it's worthless. And they figure this out by landing a little closer to it each day until one day they land on top of it. It's all over then.

I had something like that happen with my van years ago. A cardinal took a liking to my tow mirror. Problem was, she was insanely jealous of the other cardinal she saw in the mirror. I had scratches, poo, and even blood on the mirror every day for a week until it finally gave up and left.
