Is it possible that one of the tire pressure monitors can temporarily throw off a faulty reading? 3 of my tires were spot on, but the left rear was showing 26 psi. (If it matters, I topped them all off no more than 3 weeks ago) This was at approximately 5:30 a.m. I stopped to put air in the one reading low, and it took a significantly shorter time to top it off, than when I did it a few weeks ago, and they weren't as low as this one. I just went out to the parking lot at work at 2:30p.m., and checked it, and the TPMS said it's exactly where it's supposed to be.

So can these things be temporarily screwy?

Well, they have a battery which eventually wears out, could be getting flaky on you.
Correct. Usually a 5-7 year life span in my personal experience with TPMS on various Chrysler vehicles.

And don't get sucked into a tire shop offering one of their own shop brand sensors for $125-150! Only issue with supplying your own sensor nowadays is some tire shops won't install them claiming "Liability" or other BS. Shop around and find a tire shop that will install the sensor you bring them.

Thanks for this info. I was just checking in here today to find something on the TPMS as one sensor is no longer communicating. That tire and another were reading low the other day and I filled them all to the same reading but that tire reading just kept flashing for a few days then went blank " -- " and now displays system error.

Thanks DuRonbo!
No Problem. Having went through this ordeal on a couple of other Chrysler vehicles, I figured I'd help others out. Chrysler parts have been climbing way through the roof in the last 4 years or so. TPMS sensors are one of a handful of parts you can get that are vitually identical to the dealer parts and cost 1/4-1/3 of Stealership markups.
