Hey Everyone,

First post here. Currently the owner of a 2017 Blacktop GT AWD that I purchased last year. I’ve been lurking on the forum for quite some time to gather info regarding lowering kits and tires, so figured I might as well create an account.

Yesterday I had a set of 285/50R20 wheels installed and tomorrow I’ll be installing a set of Durango R/T rear coils that I was fortunately able to score on eBay for $55/each. I’ll report back with pics for anyone following.

I’m very active on F150Forum and have been doing quite a few mods on my F-150, so very happy to be here and interact with the Rango communtiy.

Welcome, nice rigs!

Did your GT come with the 265/50 R20 tires? I got the blacktop package which has been a popular option in the last few years which came with the the 265/50 R20 wheels and tires... Im getting close to 20k miles on the pirellis that came with it and am starting to think ahead for new tires using the same 20 inch rims... I was thinking of going to 295/50 R20 to give that wider SRT look but wasn't sure if my rim could could handle that extra width or if the tire itself would fit in the wheel well when turning. Let me know how your 285's do

Correct, my Blacktop came with the 265/50R20s. I really like the 285s so far, no rubbing or anything. Plus this tire size is extremely cheap compared to others.

Update: it’s been a few days since the rear coil spring install and the rear-driver side is sitting a tad lower than the passenger side. To a the normal person it isn’t noticeable, but would be apparent if I mentioned it. Difference is about 3/4 inch.

When I installed the springs I was careful to place them in the exact same spot in the isolators as the stock springs. Had the Durango aligned today and everything checked out perfectly. Would a full tank of gas and driver cause the driver side to settle faster than the passenger side? If not, what should I look for?
