After purchasing my RT, I am not super impressed with the brakes. They seem to take quite a bit of force to slow the vehicle down compared to the Grand Cherokee. We have 700 miles on it, so I figured it should be bedded by now. It's RT so it has the "heavy duty" brakes. I would hate to see the regular brakes. Maybe time for a Brembo upgrade??

For giggles, I looked up the SRT calipers:
FR:68146610AA $300 ea
FL:68146611AA $300 ea
Rotors and pads should come in around $300 I imagine.
Not sure what other parts would be needed? Are they calipers a direct bolt-in or do they need other components? The bracket says it fits the RT and SRT so I Assume it reuses that part? If it's sub $1000 to upgrade the front brakes on the Durango that seems pretty reasonable to me.

EDIT: Looks like I should had done a little more googling. Looks like a direct bolt in from the GC brakes per below thread. Plus those rebuilds are cheaper!

You should see some improvement by swapping the brake pads.
I felt the same with my RT as well (i have clocked 1500 miles). I have been driving German vehicles in the past (similar to that of yours) and typically their pads are much more aggressive. Also this will depend on the brake booster design as well.

Just curious, what gear is it in when the braking feels weak? I don't think my brakes are inherently bad but especially with eco mode on, it's in such a high gear that sometimes I feel like I have to really stand on it when approaching a light due to lack of engine braking. If I'm approaching a red light at 30 mph or so sometimes it's in 5th gear, if it were in 3rd it would stop much quicker.

Don't think that the breaks on my '18 durango are great but they aren't that bad eithor. Have never felt like they wouldn't stop me or that I had to stand on them. Could they be better, YES! But not going to replace till I have to.
