This is the spray somebody was referring to earlier. I'm having a customer of mine that does signs and vinyl do my stripes and tails next week. He suggested I do the hood, but I've seen pictures of another R/T with just the hood done and I'm not really feeling the hood alone.
I used vht before on my Ram's taillights. If you go that route after you spray them to your desired darkness then clear them. Then you can wet sand and polish them. Otherwise vht alone leaves really bad orange peel.

I've definitely seen mixed results with VHT. I'm having my client due vinyl on my tails.
