I installed a hitch yesterday and the wiring was already ran from the factory! Went too toe a trailer today and no lights! Wt does the dealership have to activate to get the wiring to work?

They don't touch your truck to activate the lights, they add it to the options list in their computer system after pulling up your VIN, you drive a few miles and viola, the lights work. I watched the dude do it, I don't even think your truck has to be there.

According to the Dodge webpage and printed information:
Yeah, dodge said the same back in 2014 too, but all the Hemi's I checked had the HD cooling and load leveling shocks included in the standard equipment, so the only thing you're actually paying for in the "tow package" is the Hitch, wiring plug and full size spare.

I just checked a used '18 model R/T and guess what?
It's the same as back in 2014. It had the HD cooling and load leveling shocks installed as standard equipment without the tow package.
So check the VIN to be 100% sure, but my money is that all the Hemi's come with HD cooling and load leveling shocks on 2wd. 4wd might be different, never checked any of them.

I think I figured it out!!

So I looked on the window sticker of a RT without tow package and this is listed as standard equipment on the RT AWD

GT Tow Package:

Using VIN decoder above, both options (tow and non tow) for the RT both have HD cooling listed. Tow lists FULL SIZE SPARE and the non tow just just STEEL SPARE. Both show REAR LOAD LEVELING SUSPENSION.

AWESOME.

My 14' Raylle didn't have the factory tow package. It came with the rear load leveling. I'm pretty sure all DD have that. It of course did not have the heavy duty engine cooling, nor the HD brakes. It had a full size spare too.
