My 2014 Durango Citadel parking light is out and I was told that I have to change the whole headlight assembly. That is ridiculous. Isn't it? Is it possible to change a bulb?

I think your referring to the DRL. The simple answer is that they are an integrated light strip in the headlight. SO you can either swap the whole assembly or do some difficult surgery. You can find used ones fairly reasonable on craigslist or ebay. Otherwise if you havent already done so you may want to look into getting the max care lifetime warranty if your original warranty has run out. It will cover that and any future failures.

Interesting, but unhelpful to him. What they are showing is how to change the parking light in the 2011-13 durangos.
