My park assist on my !# citadel keeps going offline. Seems to happen when its damp in the 30-50 degree range. The truck was in a collision that damaged both front and rear bumpers. Not sure if they replaced all the sensors or not. Wasn't having the problem prior to the accident. Will bring it into the body shop since they warranty their work to see what they say. Other than a bad sensor, is there anything else that could be effecting this?

Mine has done it a few times lately too. So far as I can tell cleaning off the sensors will fix the problem. Mine I'm sure has to do with driving on wet and slushy roads due to winter. Not sure if you get it or not, but on mine it tells me to "wipe sensor" in the evic where it shows the front and rear sensors and how close you are to the object and what side of the vehicle it's on. It does this when moving at parking speeds, and of course my sensors act as if I'm going to hit something and has a solid tone. Very annoying when it does this in reverse, it'll stop the vehicle with the brake assist. BTW, I have a 2018 R/T.

These are the park assist sensors in the bumper. they are about the size of a quarter. The dish on the front is different. It just tells me to service the sensors.

Are you talking about the camera in the front bottom grill? I don't have the tech package in mine so I can't help with that. I do have the parking sensors in both the front and rear, and yep, they are about the size of a quarter. Those were what I was referring to. If it's saying to service them, I'd say they need to be looked at by whom ever did your collision work. Mine don't say they need to be serviced, just the wipe sensor message, which goes away by well, wiping them off lol!

Yeah mine doesnt say wipe sensor. That must be a 14+ thing.

Mine had a rear-end collision before I bought it and the park sensors in the back bumper have never worked. I told myself it wasn't a big deal but the longer I own this thing the more it pisses me off...well out of warranty now. Maybe someday I'll dig into it.

I had a 2014 SXT that didn't come with sensors at all. I had the thing less than 2 weeks before I backed it into a industrial sized power box in a parking lot, and of course messed up the bumper as a result, I was pissed Lol! About 2 years ago I backed it into a light pole that had concrete around the bottom for people like me I guess. To make using story short I said I will never get another vehicle without it. Both my new vehicles have them now [emoji3]!

Did you ever find out? Mine worked now and then and now stopped with message "service park assist"
Nope. still does it when its damp out. I'm thinking it has to be a lose connection or something.

I had to have the rear control unit replaced in my '16. About every other day (this was 4-6 months ago) the dash would tell me that rear park sense was disabled. Dealer diagnosed and had it replaced in a couple days. If not under a warranty it will likely be $150+ if that is the issue.
